We usually hear of artists transitioning from acting to going behind the camera, with Daniel André it was the contrary. Earlier this week I connected with Daniel André to talk about Running On Empty. André shared why he filmed in my neighborhood, Sherman Oaks, California and his connection to the city. As well as to why the title changed from originally being Mort in Sherman Oaks, he also discussed Mort’s character and what it was he was looking for. There was of course the discussion of death and how society sees it and now himself today.
