According to the latest Barside Buzz we may know when to expect the first official trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day. There is a leaked trailer that is still available online and we’ve covered the descriptions on here already. However, whether the official trailer will match that leaked one is yet to be determined. Some insiders claim it will be different. 

Now a very good source for trailers has chimed in to give two possible outcomes, both apparently being weighed up by Sony.

When it comes to the release of the SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY trailer, what we're hearing is the following two scenarios that are being considered by the Sony marketing team:

Because it cuts off in this view, 

‘When it comes to the release of the SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY trailer, what we’re hearing is the following two scenarios that are being considered by the Sony marketing team:

1) It will premiere exclusively in front of #ProjectHailMary in theatres for the opening March 20th weekend and then be released only the following start of the week (will have already leaked at that point for certain).

The more likely choice we believe they’re going with however is…

2) Sony will wait until CinemaCon as they’re the first big studio to debut on opening night of Monday, April 13th. There they will unleash the trailer both to the audience and online plus more exclusive footage at the event itself. This gives them 3 and a half months to push the marketing campaign before the July 31st release. Also remember that they used this same strategy for SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME.’

So, the most likely scenario according this source ais Monday, April 13th at the opening night of CinemaCon. I guess if this is the two options then we will know if there’s no trailer on Project Hail Mary on March 20th. 

This source has a good track for being in the know with trailer release dates and details. However, as always, anything can change and Sony could wake up tomorrow and decide to drop it online if they felt like it.
