Falcon and Winter Soldier is due to hit Disney+ sometime around Autumn of 2020, and it looks like it will be the first MCU show to appear on the new streaming service, though that’s not solid for now. We know that the show will feature the lead pairing of Falcon aka Sam Wilson and The Winter Soldier, aka Bucky Barnes. We also know that the plot for this show will have something to do with Sam taking on the mantle of Captain America, an honor bestowed on him by Steve Rogers at the end of Avengers: Endgame.
We also know a few other things, for one the government seems to be promoting someone else (US Agent) as the next Captain America and that somehow Daniel Bruhl’s Zemo is involved again. Zemo was defeated in Captain America: Civil War, or was he, according to the character, perhaps he did exactly what he set out to do and the division he created in the Avengers team helped cost them defeat at the hands of Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War.
We now have a new bit of information to add to our ever-growing list. This time it comes directly from Bruhl himself on Instagram, and he shares a picture of his chair form the production with the name Baron Zemo on the back. Now, not once in Civil War was Zemo ever referred to as ‘Baron’ Zemo, which is of course how he was known in the comic books. Check it out.
We all assume that Zemo has not learned his lessons and that the words of T’Challa to him have probably washed off like water off a duck’s back, but who knows? What form of villainy will Zemo be concocting if any, and what will be his end goal? That, we will have to wait for the show to hit to find out we imagine. However, the fact he is now called Baron Zemo, doesn’t make it sound like he has been redeemed and is out to help Sam and Bucky this turn around, does it?
