Some interesting Barside Buzz indicates Daredevil: Born Again to split into two parts, plus a new villain rumored also. The information comes from insider Daniel RPK on his Patreon service. The word is that Daredevil: Born Again, which we know is filming 18 episodes, will actually be split into two parts, 9 episodes each. The leaker also claims that stories will be split into 2-3 episode chunks like Andor was for Star Wars. In another Andor comparison, it is claimed the tone will be darker and mature. In other words more like Daredevil than the usual MCU fare and may even get a higher TV rating.
To be fair, on this latter point, this is not brand new news. We’ve heard that this will be the approach since before filming even began on the Disney+ series. However, the maturity of the show has been questioned by fans, especially given Daredevil’s only MCU appearance so far in She-Hulk.
As for splitting the series into two parts, it’s not a new practice. Many streamers have been experimenting with having a gap between Part 1 and Part 2 of a Season. Given that Born Again is 18 episodes, to split this into two parts of 9 each actually makes a lot of sense to me. However, as with all rumors, pinch of salt till it becomes official.

Finally, RPK says that an interesting villain is going to show up within Born Again. We know the main antagonist will be Fisk, however we do expect there to be more street level villains for DD to face. Well, we may have on name fr that list and it’s someone relatively new when it comes to Daredevil villains.
The rumor is that a villain called Muse will show up as one of the secondary antagonists for Matt Murdock. Muse was a new villain in the Charles Soule comic run, but an instant success. Muse as you might imagine by the name is an artist. However, he is an artist serial killer who makes art from his victims entrails, blood and all that. He also seems to have some enhanced abilities which as yet are left unexplained in the comics, like a super strength.
The claim here is that Muse will be the first villain Daredevil comes up against in the series.
