According to new Barside Buzz, and perhaps some logic, Daredevil [Charlie Cox] is NOT in Spider-Man: Brand New Day after all. If you recall, there was no real hint of this happening, at least not since the very early rumors. Cox had always denied it and none of the reliable leakers had ever claimed it to be so since productions was underway.

Yet, last week we covered a potential rumor that Cox would appear in the film. The source, not a good one to be honest. Which, I said at the time. However, I also said I covered it because fan speculation was running wild, mainly due to a cancellation of a convention appearance from Cox due to filming commitments.

However, importantly, it seems Cox actually is starting filming this month, just not on Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

Now, this does not mean Cox could not still have a small role in BND. However, given the source of this rumor was iffy and the main attractions was that Cox WAS working and couldn’t attend an event he had been booked for.

But hey, that’s how this industry goes. Perhaps when Cox scheduled his appearance he really was not making this Apple movie, This Is How It Goes?

Either way, without the unexplained sudden mysterious work factor, there really is no evidence Charlie Cox is in Brand New Day folks. This is why I only normally post rumors from reliable sources.

So, it seems for now, Daredevil [Charlie Cox] is NOT in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, because he’s making a film for Apple with Idris Elba. As always, leave any thoughts below.
