Dave Filoni Says Grogu Will Talk Sooner Rather Than Later

During a recent interview, The Mandalorian executive producer Dave Filoni says Grogu will talk sooner rather than later. Of course Grogu, who began as Baby Yoda before we knew his name, has never spoken yet. However given that realistically the character is well beyond toddler stage, he should be talking soon one would imagine. After all, he can communicate effectively with Ahsoka and Luke through the Force already.

Speaking with ET Online Filoni as said in the title said it would be “sooner rather than later” when Grogu first speaks. Does that mean it could happen as early as the current Season 3? That’s speculative, but sooner rather than later would imply to me Season 3 or at the very least Season 4, or else it would be later instead of sooner.

Filoni was also asked about how Grogu’s Force abilities will grow now he has rejected the chance to train with Luke? As long as Grogu keeps up his discipline and practices using the Force his powers will keep growing says Filoni. The question was also asked exactly how old Grogu is in Season 3 and Filoni declined to answer saying he doesn’t want to get pinned into a timeline. For Grogu is just 50+.

Finally Filoni declined to comment when asked about Mythosaurs. I’ll not get into details here, because there are some spoilers about. Let’s just say the name may pop up more in the next coupe weeks online.

So Grogu will eventually talk, and we know he will not speak like Yoda does. As for his age he’s 50+ and his Force powers will continue to grow if he practices. Let us know what you think below as Dave Filoni says Grogu will talk sooner rather than later. What should his first words be? Will it sound weird when he starts to talk in The Mandalorian?
