The deep blue sea. Cliff diving. Sailing. Scuba diving. Underwater civilization.
It sounds like a paradise vacation. Until the hungry sharks arrive.
47 Meters Down: Uncaged returns in an unrelated sequel with a whole new cast, who are fighting for their lives in shark-infested waters.
The film stars Sistine Rose Stallone, Nia Long, Corinne Foxx, John Corbett, Brec Bassinger, Sophie Nelisse, Brianne Tju, Davi Santos and Kylin Rhambo. It is directed by Johannes Roberts (47 Meters Down, The Strangers: Prey at Night), who also wrote the screenplay with Ernest Riera (47 Meters Down, The Other Side of the Door).
Here’s the synopsis:
Four teen girls diving in a ruined underwater city quickly find themselves in a watery hell as their fun outing turns into heart-stopping fear when they learn they are not alone in the submerged caves. As they swim deeper into the claustrophobic labyrinth of caves, they enter the territory of the deadliest shark species in the ocean.
LRM Online sat down exclusively with Davi Santos, Brianne Tju and Khylin Rhambo on their production experiences on the film.
47 Meters Down: Uncaged is released nationwide in theaters today.
