DC FanDome Will Be Split In Two — Plus New Teaser Hits For Saturday Event

DC FanDome will be bigger than one event.

The bevy of digital events have been hitting thanks to the pandemic. However, one of the most anticipated out there has undoubtedly been the DC FanDome event. Between the countless films, live-action shows, and animated shows they have in the works, there’s no shortage of material for them to show off in their own private event. And for the past several weeks, that’s exactly what they’ve been touting — a 24-hour event of all things DC.

Now, DC and Warner Bros. have launched a pretty extensive video for the August 22 event. It doesn’t look like it’ll disappoint. The teaser itself shows off countless filmmakers and actors behind the biggest DC films, including The Batman, The Suicide Squad, and Wonder Woman 1984. But what may have been perplexing is the very end of the tease, which labeled the event as “Hall of Heroes.”

Take a look at the teaser below!

So, yes, as mentioned above, this event is now called DC FanDome: Hall of Heroes. As it turns out, 24 hours wasn’t enough time for DC to peddle its wares. As a result, they have split the event into two parts. The first is Hall of Heroes and the second is Explore the Multiverse, the latter of which will hit on September 12. But if you’re worried about the first event being lackluster, don’t be. It does seem like all the heavy-hitting multimedia events will still take place this Saturday.

Here is the description of the September event, courtesy of DC.

“On Saturday, September 12, at 10:00am PDT, fans will be able to create their own timeline! The great thing about this event is that it will be on demand, giving you the ability to curate your own unique experience via our Official DC FanDome Online Scheduler Tool. A lot of the content you were super excited to see from our multiple islands will now be housed here, and will be available for you to watch throughout the 24-hour period. Fans can now choose their own adventure and will have more time to immerse themselves in all the hours of curated programming — at their own pace and on their own schedule. DC Kids FanDome will also launch on Saturday, September 12, at its own kid-friendly companion site at DCKidsFanDome.com.”

So, in all honesty, I don’t really know what to expect from that new event. Perhaps it’s just a way for them to experiment for stuff in the future. As it stands, the main DC FanDome event does seem to be hitting this Saturday.
