A huge day today for DC Comics! They announced today via Forbes of the debut date of Brian Michael Bendis, which will take place on April 18th, 2018 in the unprecedented issue number 1000 of Action Comics. Also we learned that he will be taking over the writing duties on both Superman and Action Comics as well as a 6 issue mini series entitled Man of Steel.

But there was one other title that was kind of lost in the mix and that was a mysterious comic called DC Nation. The eyebrow raising fact about Bendis talking about this book was the fact that he would be joined by legendary artist, José Luis García-López:

“In between Action Comics #1000 and Man of Steel #1, there will be another special chapter, this one by myself and — I’m so excited to say these words out loud — very special art by José Luis García-López, who came out of semi-retirement to do this with me.”

Even if you have never picked up a DC Comic, without a doubt you have seen his iconic artwork. As his artowork is licensed for toy packaging, books, posters, clothing and all kinds of DC merchindise.

But just as that was revealed by Bendis DC Comics also released this press release giving us the full details of the DC Nation one-shot.
