DCEU: Which Films Are Likely To Follow Wonder Woman 2, Plus New VP Of Production

The DC Extended Universe slate seems to change with the tides. One day a film may seem set to start filming in the coming months, and the next, they could very well be wiped from the slate altogether.

When last we heard at Comic-Con Experience in Sao Paulo, Brazil, this was the slate:

Wonder Woman 2
Aquaman
Flashpoint
Suicide Squad 2
Shazam!
Batgirl
Green Lantern Corps
The Batman
Justice League Dark

However, in the months since then, it’s been clear this isn’t the case. Shazam! is underway, with Wonder Woman 2 set to begin production this summer, and everything else being a giant question mark. So what seems to be the current way of things?

According to THR, following Wonder Woman 2 (which will follow Shazam! and Aquaman), the next two films likely to hit production are Flashpoint and Batgirl. That being said, the report doesn’t seem super conclusive, and even adds an “among others” just to cover their asses.

This news came hand-in-hand with the announcement of the new VP of production, Chantal Nong. This comes following Walter Hamada being named as president of DC Entertainment. So what are Nong’s credits…? Honestly, they’re almost nonexistent. Her biggest film to date is likely The Kite Runner, where she was an assistant, and in the upcoming shark thriller The Meg, she served as an executive in charge of production.

It’s possible that she’s been working more on the exec level, and therefore is difficult to track. Let’s hope she’s the right person for the job.
