DC’s upcoming film, Black Adam, starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has finally found a screenwriter, The Tracking Board reports. The man in question is Adam Sztykiel, the creator of the NBC comedy series Undateable, which ran for three seasons.

Other projects that bear the writer’s name are Made of Honor, Due Date, Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip, and Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul, a few of which were also made for New Line (who is co-producing Black Adam along with Johnson’s own production company). Needless to say, Sztykiel’s name isn’t exactly synonymous with quality, but if there is one thing that’s clear, it’s that he knows how to work in the studio system, for better or worse. With someone like Sztykiel, we can only hope that the bigwigs above him have some great ideas for him to execute.
This news comes the day after it was revealed that Shazam would be played by Chuck’s Zachary Levi, so it looks like DC is slowly getting their ducks in a row for the world after Justice League.
Is this the kind of writer you want to be leading up a film like Black Adam, or do you think they should be going for bigger names with stronger voices? Let us know down below!
