Little by little we are getting information about a couple of the shows that are being developed for the new DC Entertainment yet to be named streaming service. From character reveals for Titans to a list of characters for Harley Quinn’s animated series. Now we have a bit more information about the the live action series Metropolis.
Last month we learned that Lois Lane and super villain Lex Luthor were getting their own show, from Gotham executive producers John Stephans and Danny Cannon. Here is a brief description for the show:
Set in the so-called City of Tomorrow before the arrival of Superman, Metropolis follows Lois Lane and Lex Luthor as they investigate the world of fringe science and expose the city’s dark and bizarre secrets.
Metropolis already has a 13 episode commitment and thanks to Omega Underground we now know that the show is looking to film in New York City June to December of this year. It is set to be released in 2019.
It is an interesting idea to pair the two opposites in Superman’s life to work together before Superman shows up. There is a good opportunity to show audiences Lois and Lex grow apart because of their ideologies.
