Deadpool 2: Negasonic Teenage Warhead Is No Longer Colossus’ Trainee

This morning, audiences got their first look at the upcoming, soon-to-be-titled Deadpool 2. The teaser itself was not of the traditional kind. Most of the video consisted of Deadpool giving a spot-on Bob Ross impression, with little Easter eggs and jokes being scattered about the video, be it in painting form, text form, or in plain view on camera.

When all said and done, we really on about about 10 seconds of new footage, but fans have already been picking it apart. One shot we got was of Negasonic Teenage Warhead, who fans will recognize from the first Deadpool film. The shot is of her flipping off who we can assume is Deadpool, and if we’re to judge her by her hair and new costume, it looks like she’s grown as a mutant as well.

This is confirmed by actor Stefan Capicic, who plays Colossus:

“She’s progressing, as you can see. She is not my trainee anymore. She definitely has approached the new level of X-Men as you can see. Even the haircut, all of the characters … the good thing is we have upgraded on so many levels.”

She was already pretty explosive in the first Deadpool movie. We can only guess what sorts of tricks her and Colossus will have up their sleeves this time around.
