Canada. Oh Canada. A sprawling, scenic nation of maple syrup and smiles, where the people are diverse, generous, and polite (if a little snobby about their hockey). Sure, we can mostly forgive them for Poutine (look it up) and the last couple decades of Shatner’s non-Trek career, but there comes a time when you gotta take a stand…

Case in point, that overbearing Canadian upstart, Ryan Reynolds.

With his newfound Deadpool movie success, Reynolds is… well, there’s just no easy way to say this… he’s really getting on our collective nerves.

As LRM reported earlier this week, Josh Brolin — a fine, distinguished American actor — has signed on to play legendary super-soldier Cable in Fox’s Deadpool 2. Naturally, one might expect a measure of decorum from Reynolds, as befits an actor of Mr. Brolin’s stature, yet to absolutely no one’s surprise Reynolds took to Twitter with this oh-so-Canuck-like response…

Sigh. Rather than acknowledge the solid that Mr. Brolin tossed him — who’s already got a significant, high-paying MCU gig — instead, Reynolds is taking the piss (UK audience, can we safely appropriate this term? Canada remains a part of the Commonwealth, yes?).

Look, the XCU already has one Canadian hero (albeit played by an Australian), so let’s establish some boundaries and conduct ourselves as professionals, eh?

Excited about Brolin as Cable, despite our weariness of Reynolds as Deadpool? Let us know in the comments down below!

NOTE: In case you were wondering…yes, the tone of this article is a joke. We realize Reynolds wasn’t actually upset about this.
