Considering how well Deadpool did at the worldwide box office ($750 million-plus on a sub-$60 million budget), it would have been easy to assume that production on Deadpool 2 would have gone as smooth as butter. It’d be a simple matter of getting all the same creative talent together for one more go, and churning out another winner, right? Obviously, filmmaking ain’t that easy, and as great as Deadpool was, it’s clear now that there was a lot of blood, sweat, and tears that went into that bad boy.

Not long after the release of Deadpool, it was announced that Tim Miller would be leaving the upcoming sequel due to creative differences. In the time since then, the development of Deadpool 2 has sort of inched along, and every now and then the writers would come on to tell us that they’d probably be shooting this year, but it never seemed like it was soon enough.

Of course, leave it to Deadpool to poke fun at this very idea. In front of the film Logan, audiences will be treated to a special, R-rated teaser, and it features…you know what? Just check it out below!

If you’ll recall, a couple days back, we reported on the description for this teaser, and it was very accurate. The only thing the report was unsure of was the existence of Stan Lee in it. We even followed up with a source of our own, and they also seemed similarly unsure. After watching this teaser, I can’t help but wonder what the confusion was, as Stan Lee was clearly in it.

Regardless, it was a fun, it not long, look at the kind of humor we can continue to expect from the film. It doesn’t seem like a lot will be lost in this sequel. At least, that’s what we hope!
