Deep Water Official Trailer Released: Divorce Is A Good Solution, Dammit!

The movie, Deep Water, based on the novel by Patricia Highsmith, is coming soon! I love seeing books come to life on the big or even the little screen. Hulu has released the trailer for Deep Water and the psychological thriller hits later this month.

Stay Single, Ben Affleck’s Characters

Affleck is a great actor, but I find certain romantic movies he stars in really pop out for me. Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Gone Girl, and Daredevil came to my mind when I watched the trailer. He’s not known for projects with a happily ever after. What also came to mind watching the trailer is that the character played by Ana de Armas is crazy. It looks like she takes the line to not cross and pushes it further and further, enjoying every second of her husband’s torture. This is not going to end well for you, lady. Starring along side Affleck and de Armas are Rachel Blanchard, Lil Rel Howery, and Jacob Elordi.

Based on the celebrated novel by famed mystery writer Patricia Highsmith (The Talented Mr. Ripley), “Deep Water” takes us inside the marriage of picture-perfect Vic (Affleck) and Melinda (de Armas) Van Allen to discover the dangerous mind games they play and what happens to the people that get caught up in them.

I Am So Glad I’m Not A Lawyer

The character, Vic is allowing his wife to flaunt these affairs in front of him to avoid a messy divorce? I’d hate to be the attorney that represents one of these two. If you have to open up your relationship to avoid separation, I think you’ve already failed. I guess they don’t believe in therapy. I really want to watch this movie, but I feel the watching experience will be me yelling at this couple the entire film. They both suck, but that’s the fun in watching these movies. Check out Deep Water on Hulu on March 18.
