Fans of Delicious in Dungeon finally have a return date for one of anime’s most anticipated fantasy adventures.
During Studio TRIGGER’s panel at Anime Expo in Los Angeles, it was announced that Delicious in Dungeon Season 2 will premiere in October 2027. The upcoming season will also stream exclusively on Netflix as episodes are released.
Alongside the announcement, Studio TRIGGER unveiled an ultra-teaser visual offering fans their first glimpse at the next chapter of the acclaimed adaptation of Ryoko Kui’s bestselling manga.
The new artwork centers on Falin, who has been transformed into a Chimera and fallen under the control of the lunatic magician Thistle. Meanwhile, Laios, Marcille, Chilchuck, Senshi, and Izutsumi continue their dangerous descent into the depths of the dungeon as they race to rescue her before it’s too late.
The newly announced season promises to adapt one of the manga’s most dramatic story arcs, with the heroes’ quest to save Falin reaching what the studio describes as the heart of the overall story.
Originally premiering in 2024, Delicious in Dungeon quickly became one of the year’s standout fantasy anime thanks to its unique blend of dungeon exploration, monster-based cooking, comedy, and emotional storytelling. The series is based on Ryoko Kui’s award-winning manga, which has surpassed 14 million copies in circulation in Japan, including digital editions.
The Season 2 announcement was made during Anime Expo 2026, North America’s largest anime convention, where Studio TRIGGER shared the first official look at the series’ return with fans attending the panel.
In addition to the premiere announcement, KADOKAWA confirmed the return of Delicious in Dungeon ~Dungeon Exploration Radio~, the franchise’s official online program. The latest episode is hosted by Kentaro Kumagai, the voice of Laios, and Sayaka Sembongi, who voices Marcille. The program discusses the newly announced season while teasing additional information about the upcoming anime.
Although fans will have to wait until October 2027 for the series to return, the latest teaser confirms that the adventure through the dungeon is far from over. With Falin’s fate hanging in the balance and the story entering one of its most pivotal arcs, Delicious in Dungeon Season 2 is already shaping up to be one of the most anticipated anime releases of 2027.
