Disney Reveals First Look at ‘Dragon Striker’ Season 2

Disney is already looking ahead to the next chapter of its fantasy sports adventure series Dragon Striker.

During the show’s panel at Anime Expo in Los Angeles, Disney unveiled the first official image from Season 2 while confirming that the new season will premiere in early 2027 on Disney XD and Disney+.

The upcoming second season will consist of 11 episodes and continues the story of the Knights as they face their greatest challenges yet. According to the official synopsis, the team must overcome fractured friendships, long-buried secrets, and an ancient evil while battling for a chance to compete in the Banner’s Helm final. With everything on the line, the Knights will be forced to risk it all in pursuit of victory.

The voice cast returns for the new season, led by Akshay Kumar as Key, Rebecca LaChance as Ssyelle, Yeukayi Ushe as Milo, Waylon Jacobs as Odward, and Harry Potter star Evanna Lynch as Ameline.

Music continues to be a major part of the series’ identity. Award-winning composer Kevin Penkin, known for his work on Made in Abyss and Star Wars: Visions, returns to score Season 2. The soundtrack was once again recorded in Japan with an 80-piece orchestra, giving the fantasy adventure its cinematic sound.

The series’ opening theme, “Power of the Dragon,” was written and produced by Cash Callaway and performed by Sarah West, while Kieran Rhodes performs the ending theme, “The Very End.”

Dragon Striker is produced by La Chouette Compagnie in association with Disney Television Animation. The creative team includes co-creators and executive producers Sylvain Dos Santos and Charles Lefebvre, with Lefebvre also serving as director. Paul McKeown returns as head writer.

The announcement comes just weeks after the series debuted its first season. Fans looking to catch up before the new episodes arrive can stream all of Season 1 now on Disney+ and Hulu.

With a larger story, higher stakes, and new mysteries on the horizon, Dragon Striker Season 2 looks to expand the fantasy world that audiences were first introduced to in its debut season when it returns in early 2027.
