Disney+ is preparing to unleash a new wave of animated chaos this summer with the debut of The Doomies, a supernatural comedy adventure series that blends monster-filled mayhem with coming of age storytelling. The streamer has released the official trailer and key art ahead of the show’s premiere on June 26.
The new animated series will launch with 22 half-hour episodes exclusively on Disney+, accompanied by four short-form companion episodes titled Doug Unfiltered, Ghosted By A Ghost, Creepy Crepe, and What Is That Thing?
At the center of the story are best friends Bobby and Romy, two ordinary teenagers whose lives take an unexpected turn after they accidentally open a portal to evil. Their once peaceful coastal town quickly becomes ground zero for an invasion of bizarre and terrifying creatures. As monsters begin appearing around every corner, the pair must uncover the mystery behind the portal while confronting both supernatural threats and the personal challenges of growing up.
According to Disney, The Doomies combines comedy, horror-inspired adventure, and emotional storytelling, creating a series designed to appeal to younger audiences while embracing the thrills and chills of classic monster tales.
The voice cast is led by Max Mittelman as Bobby and Madison Calderon as Romy. They are joined by Noel Gibson as Kim, Jon Bailey as Doug, and Zehra Fazal as Jenny.
Behind the scenes, the series comes from Academy Award-nominated animation studio Xilam Animation in partnership with Disney Television Animation. The Doomies was co-created by Andrès Fernandez, Pozla (Rémi Zaarour), and Henry Gifford. Fernandez also serves as director across all 22 episodes, while Xilam founder Marc du Pontavice produces the series.
Ahead of its Disney+ debut, The Doomies has already earned recognition on the international animation stage. The series is one of the official selections competing at the prestigious Annecy International Animation Film Festival in the TV Films category.

Its episode, Night of the Fishing Dead, was chosen from a pool of more than 2,400 submissions and will screen during the festival’s June 21-27 event alongside some of the world’s most acclaimed animated projects.
The trailer showcases the show’s vibrant animation style, quirky monster designs, and fast paced humor while teasing the mystery that drives the season. With its blend of supernatural adventure, comedy, and heartfelt friendship, The Doomieslooks positioned to become one of Disney+’s standout animated originals of the summer.
The Doomies premieres June 26 exclusively on Disney+.
