One of the more successful animation to live-action films from Disney, Aladdin will be arriving on digital on August 27 and for Blu-ray/DVD on September 10. The film is also timed to coincide with the re-release of the animated Aladdin from the Walt Disney Signature Collection
Aladdin follows the street rat tale who is determined to win the heart of Princess Jasmine with the help of a larger-than-life Genie.
The film stars Will Smith, Mena Massoud and Naomi Scott. It is directed by Guy Ritchie.
The film has plenty of extra features, including a new song “Desert Moon,” which was deleted from the final film that was written by composer Alan Menken and songwriters Benj Pasek and Justin Paul. Features document Guy Ritchie’s joyful directing towards movie magic, Will Smith’s fresh take on the infamous genie in the lamp, Naomi Scott’s spirited princess as the defender of her people and Mena Massoud’s charms as Aladdin. Additionally, there are plenty of deleted scenes and blooper reels.
Pre-purchase orders will give additional bonus features. It’ll include the making of the musical number “Prince Ali,” and exclusive extra detailing the creation of Jasmine’s new song “Speechless.”
