Not every film has the same title overseas as it does in the states. This goes for films both made in Hollywood and overseas. Sometimes you have titles that very much hinge on its native language’s quirks, and sometimes, you have foreign salespeople who change the title due to the differences in the market…but it’s always interesting to see the little differences. Such is especially the case with the latest Star Wars film.

In case you’ve been living under a rock, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is the title Lucasfilm, J.J. Abrams and co. went with for the final film in the Sequel Trilogy. Of course, this has led to a lot of debate among fandom as far as what it could mean for the story and ending of the new ending…and we may have a new clue, courtesy of the Japanese title.

According to the Twitter account Star Wars Stuff, the title in Japan is Star Wars: The Dawn of Skywalker. Take a look down below.

So what does this mean for the story? Well, it certainly seems to hint at a whole new beginning for the Skywalker clan, and makes me think, more than ever, that Kylo Ren will have no redemption, and that Rey will somehow carry on the Skywalker name for future generations.
