Don Cheadle Opens Up About Armor Wars And What To Expect

Don Cheadle opens up about Armor Wars and what to expect in a post D23 interview with ComicBook’s Phase Zero. You can watch the full video below, Cheadle talks about how exciting it is to see new faces turn up and work with some of the older veterans like himself.

As for where Rohdey is at right now?

“The great thing is there’s just going to be so much opportunity to learn a lot about him and for him to learn about himself and for us, hopefully, to really be able to get behind what makes him tick.”

However Cheadle also talked a little about the plot of Armor Wars and what we should expect. As always with Marvel Studios, there will be an influence from the comics, but the story will take unexpected turns.

“If you know anything about the lore, and you’ve read the comic books, you understand that it’s a series that was built around Tony’s Stark Tech getting out and Rhodey taking it on to go get this tech back from the bad hands, the bad actors whose hands it is in.”

“And as Marvel does, it’s also an opportunity to take the mythology and tip it on its head a little bit and come up with different ways to tell the story, so it’s doing that and has done that in spades.”

There was some panic among fans after SDCC when Armor Wars was not given a spot in that massive slate. However soon after SDCC Marvel Studios announced that Armor Wars was still coming. In fact, far as we know it should begin filming sometime in early 2023 in Atlanta.
