Chucky is one of those characters from classic slasher films that will probably never go away. The firs time we saw the possessed doll was 30 years ago in 1988’s Child’s Play that was directed and co-written by Tom Holland and produced by David Kirschner from a story by Don Mancini. Seven films later, we have word from Mancini’s Twitter page that about what is next for Chucky. Check it out below!

Thats right folks! We are getting a Child’s Play television series. According to BloodyDisgusting the series will be an 8 part hour long series that will stick with Chucky’s canon. Mancini told them that they, “deliberately set up at end of the last movie”, which was Cult Of Chucky. He also confirmed with them that Brad Dourif would return to once again voice Chucky.
As far as the tone of the show Mancini also added that they, “want to definitely signal that we are going dark, darker than ever before. It’s going to be very creepy.” Other than that there have been no other details revealed about the show. It will be interesting to see going forward where this show will air, whether it will be on a cable network or maybe a streaming service. We will keep you up to date as new information is released.
