DWF 2015: Interview with Don Hardy Jr. and Homer Flynn for Documentary ‘Theory of Obscurity: A Film About the Residents’

After a few decades, the obscure band The Residents is still playing in venues and keeping its identity secret from the public.

Documentarian Don Hardy Jr. looks to explore on what makes The Residents so popular with a loyal following after all these years in “Theory of Obscurity: A Film About the Residents.”

Hardy managed to get access to their archives for the past forty years, including interviews with former members of The Crypic Corporation, a promotional arm for The Residents. In addition, other interviews also include Matt Groening, Penn Jillette and The Residents…..sort of.

Latino-Review caught up with Hardy and Homer Flynn, a former spokesperson for The Residents. Flynn was also a founder of The Cryptic Corporation.

Check out the interview below.
