With a review embargo and social media reactions date listed, the early word on the Barside Buzz is that Guardians 3 is a good movie with good VFX. Now, at one time the VFX of an MCU movie wouldn’t be in doubt. However recently, that’s not been the case.
Just to be clear here, no one who has officially seen the movie is giving their opinions. This instead is leakers who have contacts who say they’ve seen the movie (internal screenings or tests). As such, this is purely rumor territory for now. Still, I figured it was worth sharing when there has been so much negativity around recent Marvel movies.
Insider BSL was first to come out and say he’s heard the movie is good and specifically that the VFX were noticeably good also. Check it out.

Let me rephrase this so people aren’t taking it out of context. My source did not specifically say that the movie had the best VFX since ENDGAME but they did say that the VFX work stood out to them as a highlight of the film.

At this point, unless you didn’t care for Guardians 1 and 2, did we think this was going to go downhill? Gunn has been consistently good at delivering comic book movies. Therefore I am inclined to be hyped about Guardians 3 more by his record than any rumors. After all, even when we get to reviews, every movie is subjective. I preferred Guardians 1 over Guardians 2, but some people are the other way round. I call these the ‘wrong’ people, but I don’t like to pigeon hole folks /s.

As I said in my coverage of the new TV spot yesterday, I was already sold on this movie, and so far nothing in the marketing has given me doubt. However I get the feeling audiences are a little bummed by the MCU recently in general. Ergo, perhaps this positive word of mouth will give you some hope back for a good one?
Not long to go now. Though I rarely review movies these days myself I do want to close out the trilogy after reviewing the first 2 for this site. Therefore, expect maybe more than one written review for Guardians 3 and the lads on MMM, and BGRTP will also be giving their thoughts after release as always.
