Sport hunters will eventually grow tired of hunting wild animals of rhinoceros, elephants, and lions. For decades in Hollywood, films are fascinated with sports hunters going after humans as demonstrated in 1932’s The Most Dangerous Game, 1945’s A Game of Death, and even the most talked-about film during last year’s pandemic with The Hunt.
With Apex, the film follows a similar path with rich big-game hunters paying to hunt current criminals for sport on a deserted island.
The movie stars Neal McDonough, Bruce Willis, Corey Large, Alexis Fast, Nels Lennarson, Lochlyn Munro, Megan Peta Hill, and Trevor Gretzky. Edward Drake directed the movie from the script written by Corey Large and Edward Drake.
Here is the full synopsis:
Serving a life sentence for a crime he didn’t commit, ex-cop Thomas Malone is offered a chance at freedom if he can survive a deadly game of Apex. Six hunters pay for the pleasure of hunting another human on a remote island, but once Malone arrives all hell breaks loose. Laying traps and playing mind games, Malone tries to turn the tables and fight for his life and his future.
