Edward James Olmos stars in the upcoming film Walking With Herb. A story written by the late Mark Medoff.
The Synopsis
Joe Amable-Amo (Edward James Olmos) is a bank executive and former amateur golfer struggling with his faith after an unexpected tragedy. Faced with doubts about himself, his purpose and his belief in God, Joe is stunned when God tells him that he’s been chosen to inspire the world and play in a world championship golf tournament. Guided by God’s eccentric personal messenger, Herb (George Lopez), Joe learns that the seemingly impossible is possible…through faith, family and second chances.
Edward James Olmos has been in the entertainment industry for over 50 years. Originally a musician and has achieved outstanding success as an actor, producer and humanitarian. This Icon has received prestigious awards. Including a Golden Globe for his role as Jaime Escalante in Stand and Deliver. He directed and starred in his first film American Me. Today, he is remembered for several of his projects but a few couple of the popular roles were as Abraham Quintanilla in Selena and Admiral William Adama in Battlestar Galactica.

His success has never gotten in the way for him to forget to give back to his communities that supported him. Olmos is an international spokesperson, humanitarian and advocate for organizations like The River Keepers, The Boy’s and Girl’s Club of America, Thank you Oceans to name a few.
It was a privilege to connect with Señor Edward James Olmos again via Zoom to talk about Walking With Herb. He gave a back story about the script and how it touched him. Olmos spoke about the cast, shared who he would want as his own messenger in life and shared some words of wisdom.
