Elizabeth Olsen Talks WandaVision Cameos And Multiverse Theories

WandaVision

There were a ton of rumors and speculation about WandaVision cameos and Multiverse theories. I probably heard them all at some point. However the ending of WandaVision really was more in fitting with the rest of the show, it was about Wanda letting go. Yet, as we already know, there were a lot of fans kinda bummed those theories didn’t check out. Now it’s become a meme in itself.

WandaVision cameos and Multiverse theories

So what did star Elizabeth Olsen think about all these crazy theories she knew were not true. The actor sat down for an interview with Variety alongside WandaVision showrunner Jac Schaeffer.

“I knew that there are theories that had to do with people wanting more surprises in cameos. But I’m not really that aware of what these fan theories were, so I’m kind of learning about it as we go. Paul said something about this crazy cameo when he was really just talking about doing a scene with himself, and I know Paul thought that was a really funny joke, and I thought it was funny. But I was like, I think people are actually going to suspect that there is more to come.”

“I didn’t know about the multiverse when we were filming this. So I wouldn’t assume that that’s what was happening. I thought it was just a clever way to have a Pietro. I didn’t understand the larger plan of the multiverse until I started working on “Multiverse,” or whatever our movie’s called, the “Doctor Strange” sequel! [Laughs]”

So there you have it, by the time fans were debating over whether this was the Multiverse start point, Olsen was just beginning to get her head around what is happening in Multiverse of Madness. Fans knew that both Spider-Man: No Way Home, and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness would have connections to WandaVision. Fans did however expect those connections to be one thing and not another.

All I’ll say is, I didn’t think I’d care much for WandaVision. Yet, I found myself thoroughly enjoying each episode along with the speculation. I was always most excited for The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. So with that almost upon us, I guess I am a happy Disney+ subscriber right now. What do you think of all the WandaVision cameos and Multiverse theories? What do you think of Olsen’s comments? as always leave any thoughts below.
