‘Emotional’ IT: Chapter Two Finishes Production, Celebrates With New Images

IT: Chapter Two is in the can, folks! Now, unless all hell breaks loose and destroys all the hard drives and simultaneously bankrupts Warner Bros., we’ll actually be getting this movie. This means we’ll see the grand conclusion of the story that began with last year’s IT, which saw the Losers Club butt heads with Pennywise the Clown for the first time. This sequel will take place decades later and will tell the rest of the tale chronicled in the Stephen King novel IT. To celebrate this, director Andy Muschietti took to Instagram to celebrate the end of the sequel’s production.

IT chapter 2 was an 86-day roller coaster ride,” Muschietti wrote on the social media platform. “Never had so much fun making movies as this one . I had a relentless and inspired crew who believed in this adventure as much as i did and a cast that put their heart and soul behind every second of performance. A huge thank you to all of them and also to my producer and sister @barbaramus who dealt with all the shit that a production like this has reserved for producers. And last but not least , the fans who day by day boosted our spirits by reminding us how much this story means to them. Thank you and Love to you all 🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈❤️

He wasn’t the only one celebrating. Young actor Finn Wolfhard also took to social media, sharing an image with him and the rest of the kid cast.

If you’ve seen that first film, you know that scares aren’t all the story has to offer. It’s also got enough emotion to fill a Disney or Pixar flick, which was highlighted by co-star Bill Hader in an interview with IndieWire:

“It’s really great. It’s very emotional. The cast is amazing… It’s really scary obviously, but I was surprised at how emotional it was. It’s really a story about these people and this kind of trauma that they all went through.”

In short, we have a lot to look forward to. So get ready, because we have 10 short months until we experience this bad boy.
