Contrary to current rumors and theories Ewan McGregor says Obi-Wan Kenobi films in LA this Spring. It was thought that filming on Obi-Wan Kenobi was soon to get underway in England, however that appears to not be the case. McGregor even comments on all the rumors she has heard about where the show would film and when.
Ewan recently spoke with comedian Eddie Izzard on his charity event via online. Whilst I do not have a direct link to the clip for you, you can check out that clip on a Reddit thread below.

The key point about Obi-Wan Kenobi was,
“We start making it in the late Spring, and we’re gonna be shooting it here in LA.”
This is interesting, because I, and many others, are pretty certain that some of the Obi-Wan Kenobi crew are currently in England. Why they are over there currently if the show shoots in LA is harder to answer? Clearly McGregor does not start till Spring, but perhaps there is some work being done elsewhere beforehand? However I am not going to argue the details against the star of the show. If McGregor says it starts this Spring in LA, then that’s when it starts, because you have no show without McGregor.

Fan favorite McGregor also spoke about how excited he was to come back to the character of Kenobi again. McGregor last played Obi-Wan in 2003, and as he says that was a long time ago now. McGregor says he always felt there was a story between his time and that of Alec Guinness. Of course, that story is exactly what we are expecting to be told within Obi-Wan Kenobi. It would be fair to say that Obi-Wan Kenobi is the project I am most excited to see one day. For years I wanted more Obi-Wan whilst McGregor was young enough to play him. More than that, I feel like Obi-Wan Kenobi is a chance for both McGregor and Hayden Christensen to really sink their teeth into more than what Lucas gave them in the prequels.
