Don’t have to wait long for an all-Latinx cast for a superhero show. Ultra Violet & Black Scorpion is now on the Disney Channel that features two awesome Latinx superheroes with plenty of action and humor.
The series revolves around two very opposite superheroes of Ultra Violet (Scarlett Estevez) and Black Scorpion (J.R. Villarreal). One is a young spunky teenage girl who is learning the ropes as a superhero and in the business of social media “likes.” The other is the too mature and too serious uncle who just wants to fight crime and stick to his duties.
Nevertheless, the chemistry between Ultra Violet and Black Scorpion generates tons of laughs as you’ll be glued to your television screens.

Here is the official synopsis:
Violet Rodriguez, an everyday Mexican-American teen, is chosen by a magical luchador mask which transforms her into Ultra Violet, a superhero fighting crime alongside her luchador uncle, Cruz, also known as Black Scorpion. Although Cruz takes Violet under his wing to teach her the responsibilities of her special powers, she doesn’t always see eye-to-eye with him when it comes to his methods for capturing crooks. In the meantime, she must keep her superhero identity secret from her parents and her older brother Santiago (“Tiago”), as well as her friends and schoolmates. However, she does lean on one close confidante: her best friend Maya Miller-Martinez, who provides advice and assists with documenting Ultra Violet’s adventures on social media.
The series cast also included Marianna Burelli (Paramedicos) as Nina Rodriguez, Juan Alfonso (American Princess) as Juan Carlos Rodriguez, Brandon Rossel (Fast Layne) as Tiago with newcomers Zelia Ankrum as Maya Miller Martinez, and Bryan Blanco as Luis Leon. Eric Garcia and Leo Chu (Alexa & Katie) serve as showrunners and executive producers.
