Expend4bles Red-Band Trailer Promises Bloody Action In Upcoming Movie

The (older) boys are back in Lionsgate’s “Expend4bles”. Just like the stars of the film this franchise continues to chug along adding more notable names along the way. With the release of the film less than a month away, the studios have released a new “Red-Band” trailer that makes sure that fans of the franchise know that there will be lots of action leading to hair-rasing blood and guts. Check it out.

While it may not win any Oscars, films like “Expend4bles”, are a lot of action-packed fun. It’s entertaining to see a lot of the starts of yesteryears come together and interact on missions that way usually only fan fiction can do. Luckily in this case that is not necessary thanks to the Expendables franchise.

Along with the trailer, the studios also released a whopping eleven character posters for “Expend4bles” that showcase the ever-growing franchise family.

As you can see by the characters posters, “Expend4bles” stars Jason Statham, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Megan Fox, Dolph Lundgren, Tony Jaa, Iko Uwais, Randy Couture, Jacob Scipio, Levy Tran, with Andy Garcia, and Sylvester Stallone.

This is said to be Stallone’s appearance in the franchise as the team leader Barney Ross. Also noticeably missing is Arnold Schwarzenegger who passed on the project. Bruce Willis was also unable to continue due to his health issues.

“Expend4bles” is directed by Scott Waugh, based on a story written by Kurt Wimmer, Tad Daggerhart, Max Adams, Spenser Cohen, and Dave Callaham.

Here is the synopsis for “Expend4bles” that was released by Lionsgate:

A new generation of stars join the world’s top action stars for an adrenaline-fueled adventure in Expend4bles. Armed with every weapon they can get their hands on and the skills to use them, The Expendables are the world’s last line of defense and the team that gets called when all other options are off the table. But new team members with new styles and tactics are going to give “new blood” a whole new meaning.

Lionsgate’s “Expend4bles” is set to be released in theaters on September 22.
