Extended Trailer For Supergirl’s Mid-Season Premiere Gives Us A Good Look At The Legion

With CW’s Supergirl returning to television next Monday night, the network has released an extended trailer with what to expect from the mid-season premiere.

With Reign defeating Supergirl and leaving her in a dreamlike state. Reign is looking to move forward with “The Awakening.” Mon-El recruits a member of the Legion members Brainiac 5, played by Jesse Rath to try and help them bring her back. But in the meantime Reign continues to cause havoc in the city, leaving the DEO no choice but to team up with the three Legion of superheroes, including Saturn Girl played by Amy Jackson.

Yesterday I talked about how bland Mon-El’s costume design looked, although still true I will say that he looks better next to the two other Legion members. On Brainiac 5 I think they should have stuck with the traditional blonde hair to give the character some color. Supergirl has a tendency, in my opinion, to water down characters, for example just look at how much they’ve held Martian Manhunter back, so I am cautiously optimistic.

Supergirl returns to television next Monday night on The CW.

MEET THE LEGION – Struggling to heal from her injuries inflicted by Reign (Odette Annable), Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) remains in a dreamlike state, unable to be reached. Mon-El (Chris Wood) recruits one of the Legion members, Brainiac-5 (guest star Jesse Rath), to try to bring her back. Meanwhile, Reign continues her rampage on the city so the DEO teams up with the Legion of Superheroes to try to stop her.
