Falcon And The Winter Soldier Actor Hopes He Gets To Return As John Walker

Wyatt Russell Not Yet Had The Call For Thunderbolts

Falcon and the Winter Soldier wasted no time introducing us the John Walker. Deemed the new Captain America by the US government, the character is already at odds with Bucky and Sam Wilson.

In the comics, Walker has been all over the place over the decades. He’s been a Thunderbolt and Avenger, to name a few. Normally, he goes by U.S.Agent, but he has also been Captain America. We don’t even know if Walker will survive the series, though Marvel Studios has been more careful about offing its villains too often. Which is what we expect John Walker to become eventually in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

Wyatt Russell, who plays Walker, spoke to Screen Rant, telling them he hopes he gets to play John Walker again after the season ends:

Again, above my paygrade. I don’t know. Hopefully, people like it, and it works. And then if Marvel decides that they would like to use him again, that’d be fantastic and great. I’d love to. I had a wonderful experience working with them. And from what I’ve heard, the show’s really turned out great. That is a nice vote of confidence, so I’m hoping. I’d love to; of course I would.

I’d prefer to see Walker live and become a villain or ally in the future. I’d really like to see the Thunderbolts or the Dark Avengers set up in a future project.
