Falcon And The Winter Soldier Delayed Till 2021 – WandaVision Moves Up

As the title says, it seems that Falcon and The Winter Soldier is delayed till 2021. Not only that, but WandaVision now looks set to land on December of this year. That means WandaVision has now moved ahead of FATWS in the release schedule.

The information comes from Disney itself. Some users have noticed that the landing page for both shows on the Disney+ app shows some new dates. These landing pages have not been updated worldwide it seems as some international versions appear to have no new information. I’m sure that is simply a matter of time though. Check out the tweet below from Brandon Davis including the relevant images.

Considering all the recent rumors that suggested this was coming, it seems pretty obvious they were legit. WandaVision managed to get far more of the production finished before the Coronavirus Lockdown. That seems to have pushed the show much farther on than Falcon and The Winter Soldier, which is still filming. Therefore it now looks like WandaVision will hit Disney+ sometime in December of this year. Whereas Falcon and The Winter Soldier won’t hit till some time in 2021. One would expect early 2021.

It’s often been speculated that Marvel may need to keep their running orders for narrative reasons. However, it looks as though that is not actually the case. At this time a further delay is expected for the Black Widow movie. You start to wonder whether it’s time to just release the movie on Disney+ instead? I’m not sure how well Mulan has sold, but I’m sure Black Widow would sell more.

What do you think of Falcon and The Winter Soldier delayed till 2021? Leave your thoughts below as always.
