Falcon And The Winter Soldier Gets Director And Two New/Old Cast Members

When Disney + launches later this year, there are a load of shows I’m looking forward to seeing such as The Mandalorian, WandaVision, Loki, and Falcon and Winter Soldier.

For Falcon and Winter Soldier one wonders how Sam being given the shield of Captain America will factor into how the show progress, but according to Deadline, they have heard it will be addressed in the show. The outlet also shared some details on who the director will be along with two new cast members.

Emmy and BAFTA nominated Kari Skogland will direct the six-part part Disney +mini-series. Skogland has previously worked on a ton of TV properties such as The Handmaid’s Tale, NOS4A2, The Borgias, The Killing and House of Cards to name but a few. It has also been revealed that both Daniel Bruhl and Emily Van Kamp will be reprising their roles as Zemo and Sharon Carter for the show.

The last time either of these characters appeared was in Captain America: Civil War and Sharon, of course, was ditched by Steve, so he could go back in time and make the sweet love with her dead Aunt Peggy, which must be tough to take rejection wise.

As for Zemo, I really enjoyed Bruhl’s take on the villain and it’ll be interesting to see what his goal is, after the events of Infinity War and Endgame. Is he a villain again in this show? Honestly, who knows at this point, perhaps he will have a reformed character arc of sorts, but I kinda hope he goes further off the deep end.

Falcon and Winter Soldier is expected to debut on Disney + around August of 2020, and it is expected that WandaVision would be the first MCU Disney + show to come out the gate swinging. Whereas we are expecting The Mandalorian, which is much farther along to debut with the Disney + launch sometime later this year.

Are you excited for Falcon and Winter Soldier, do you like the idea of Zemo and Carter coming back for the show? Grab your shield and head on down to the comments section below.
