Falcon And The Winter Soldier Will Be Renamed For Season 2 | LRM’s Barside Buzz

Captain America 4 villain and Sharon Carter rumor

A new rumor says that Falcon and The Winter Soldier will be renamed for Season 2! Something I predicted weeks ago, so read on for more details.

When it comes to Falcon and The Winter Soldier, and what we think that Disney+ show is about, I’ve always felt like the title may change if it ever goes to a Season 2. Based on what we know, and some guesswork, I’d say Season 1 of Falcon and The Winter Soldier‘s plot is obvious. I believe that Falcon and The Winter Soldier will deal predominantly with Sam taking on the mantle of Captain America. If that is the case, and Sam is Cap by the end of Season 1, then I don’t see a Season 2 being called Falcon and The Winter Soldier. Instead, I see the title becoming ‘Captain America and The White Wolf’, or something similar.

Now, this title change was just a theory from me. A theory that by the end of Season 1 Sam will be Cap, and Bucky will also get rid of his The Winter Soldier persona. Therefore, it would no longer make sense to call the show Falcon and The Winter Soldier. A new rumor from scooper Charles Murphy might indicate my theory was correct? On the Murphy’s Law Podcast this week they discuss a rumor that Falcon and The Winter Soldier might be renamed for Season 2. Murphy said that:

“Coming out of season one, [Bucky Barnes and Sam Wilson] are going to have gone through something traumatic and be different. There was definitely at one point a plan for a second season.”

Murphy went on to point out that, “If they did have season two, it wouldn’t be called The Falcon and The Winter Soldier Season 2, it would be a thematically related thing with a different name.”

Murphy doesn’t say what that title could be, but my guess would be either Captain America and The White Wolf, or Captain America and Bucky. I just don’t see many other possibilities for a title at this point. As I said above, this is not surprising to me as it just makes logical sense. Sam is going to be Captain America, Bucky won’t be The Winter Soldier, so why use that title twice? If you want a complete breakdown of where I think Falcon and The Winter Soldier is going, and why I think the title will change, then check out the related section above.

Disney+ has officially said Falcon and The Winter Soldier should hit the streaming platform in the Fall of 2020. Barring any further delays, I’ll guess we will see Falcon and The Winter Soldier by the end of November. Essentially, that’s not long after Black Widow hits theaters. Of course, this is all assuming we have no further lockdowns or a second spike of the coronavirus? No one can predict that very accurately, but we can perhaps keep our fingers crossed on that front?

What do you think of this rumor that Falcon and The Winter Soldier will be renamed for Season 2? do you agree with me that this is inevitable? Leave your thoughts below as usual.
