Well, he’s changed his tune as Colin Farrell now says he’s up for The Penguin Season 2, plus he confirms he’s in The Batman Part 2 and possibly Part 3. Farrell recently spoke with THR and he sounds more keen to play Oz Cobb again. Prior to The Penguin releasing Farrell had indicated he needed time before considering going through that makeup process again. The idea being he was fine for a shorter role in the movies. However, being the star of a show meant a lot of time in that makeup chair every day. That was a very unpleasant experience for Farrell at the time.
Perhaps the critical success of The Penguin has softened his stance?
“If there’s a great idea [for season two], and the writing was really muscular and as strong or stronger on the page than it was the first season, of course I would do it,” Farrell tells The Hollywood Reporter.
“For me, the bar for success is not very high. It’s, ‘Do most people like it?’ — just the simplicity of that. I love being in things that are critically approved — it’s much better than the alternative — but I’ve been around long enough [to know] that it’s the audience who are really the most important critics.”

As for The Batman Part 2, Farrell says he’s not yet seen a script, however he did confirm that he is signed up for three movies in total. All he’s heard about the specifics of Part 2 are the quote below.
“I was told I have five or six scenes. I don’t have any hopes or any expectations.”
I’ll assume we all knew that Farrell would be back for The Batman Part 2. However, the fact he confirms he’s also signed for a third movie are very interesting indeed. One must assume this could be The Batman Part 3? Especially if Penguin is only in Part 2 for 5-6 scenes. Perhaps it’s Part 3 where he gets his bat shaped karma?
