No matter which side of the fence you’re on. Vote tomorrow.
In a public service announcement, Latinx activist Favianna Rodriguez teamed up with Rosario Dawson for a hilarious voter engagement video in the style of a safe sex video.
The video is titled, “Safe Voting Feels So Good.” It stars Diane Guerrero from Orange is the New Black and Jane the Virgin. Guerrero is a political activist herself after authoring “In the Country We Love: My Family Divided,” a memoir about her parents being detained and deported when she was fourteen.
In this short video format, Guerrero sits on a bed making sexual overtures, but in the context of voting. The voice-over is provided by Marc Bamuthi Joseph and Favianna Rodriguez.
The video reminds us it is important to vote but to “wear protection” due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
