Interview With Sylas Dall For His Film They Reach [EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW]

They Reach

With October behind us, does that mean the end of the spooky season? Absolutely not! Being someone that is usually used to traveling to conventions during the year I am used to seeing people dressed up. Also, horror films are released throughout the year. One film that is going to be making its debut tomorrow is Sylas Dall’s teen horror film They Reach. It will be available on DVD and digital.

They Reach has Stranger Things and It vibes. What is funny is that it was actually already in development before both of these properties were released a few years back. Set in 1979 the film follows a 13-year-old science nerd that stumbles upon a possessed tape player and accidentally unleashes a demonic entity. She calls upon the help of her two best friends to fight the beast before it takes more souls in the small town of Clarkston. The Film stars Mary Madaline Roe, Morgan Chandler, Eden Campbell, Kyan Zielinski, Elizabeth Rhoades, Ash Calder, Frederick Floyd, Kara Puerschner, and Adrienne Jordan.

Interview with Sylas Dall

Ahead of its release, LRM Online had the opportunity to talk with the first-time director/writer Sylas Dall. In our conversation, we talk with him about the challenges of being a first-time director. Especially as he did not go to film school. We also converse about his passion for the ’80s and the horror genre. It was very interesting to learn all of the things that they went through to get this film made. For example shopping at thrift stores for props and putting together sets at the last possible moments. You can check out the full interview down below! Then be sure to check out the film that is available tomorrow!

Uncork’d Entertainment’s They Reach will debut on DVD, BD, and Digital on November 3rd, 2020.
