Final Fantasy VII: Remake director teases news regarding 25th Anniversary during Square Enix Live-Stream
If you’ve been around this site for the last 3 years, you’ll know I am a HUGE Final Fantasy fan, and that my favorite is Final Fantasy VII. I know, I know, “how normie of you, Kyle.” However, I had played FF I-IV and FF VI before I played FF VII in 1998. I had some street cred. Anyways, we’re here because the game’s 25th Anniversary is this year, and the Godfather of the FFVII world, Tetsuya Nomura, has teased some information about said Anniversary events or products coming next month. During a live-stream Nomura said:
Next month we’re planning to publish information related to VII’s 25th anniversary. I wonder how far I’m allowed to share about it.”
He went on to tease a bit about divulging some information, but settled it all by stating next month “various things” would be published.
What Does It Mean For Final Fantasy VII: Remake Part 2?
Let’s face it, that’s the biggest question on most people’s mind, including my own. FF7R (I know the abbreviations get confusing, but try the Kingdom Hearts) was a dream come true, almost. The game only covered the original’s first 6-8 hours of play, but damn if they didn’t expand on that in the best of ways.

Where was I? Oh yeah, while nothing of any substance was said, we can’t assume that anything new will be announced. The comments were aimed at the anniversary of the original game, and we could be hearing about new collectibles. However, there is the chance for announcements concerning the upcoming mobile game, Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis. There is always hope for a Ff7RP2 (lol) announcement, but we should keep expectations tampered… Screw it… HALF-LIFE 3 CONFIRMED!!!
What do you hope is announced or revealed for the 25th Anniversary of Final Fantasy VII? Let us know in the comments below!
