Sometimes there is a huge disparity between what movie critics like and what the audiences like.
It’s a pretty safe guess that the critics and audiences will agree with positive reviews for Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One.
On Rotten Tomatoes, the critic score stands at a very high 98 percent rating with 190 reviews, making it one of the year’s best-reviewed films. Even our very own Nancy Tapia has high praise for the film, indicating it’s very worthy to see it multiple times.
Its marketing is in full swing with many “oh-my-god” moment stunts from its franchise star Tom Cruise from a motorcycle jump off a cliff to hanging to dear life on a runaway train. There is no doubt that Paramount Pictures and Cruise want to define this film as the summer’s action blockbuster.
Here is the official synopsis:
In Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One, Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and his IMF team embark on their most dangerous mission yet. To track down a terrifying new weapon that threatens all of humanity before it falls into the wrong hands. With control of the future and the fate of the world at stake, and dark forces from Ethan’s past closing in, a deadly race around the globe begins. Confronted by a mysterious, all-powerful enemy, Ethan is forced to consider that nothing can matter more than his mission—not even the lives of those he cares about most.
