This one broke too late for me yesterday but we have our first BTS image for Ben Grimm in Fantastic Four and he looks good. I’m not sure who was first to share this image, that seems to have been deleted. However, here is an X post from leaker MTTSH. I love it so far, just because the face matches the comic book face of Ben. I’ve always been a huge fan of Ben, he was my favourite of the Fantastic Four growing up. I really disliked the previous versions of Ben we have seen in live-action. This shot isn’t enough to make me completely happy though. Facially this looks great, but I need to see the whole package in action. What I will say though is, this is at least a good sign. It also looks like Ben will be practical as opposed to CGI, but I don’t think we can say that for certain. One would think CGI would need to be used for fight scenes, no?

I guess my ideal image of Ben is the one in the header above. He should IMO be the same size roughly as Hulk. It’s hard to tell so far if that is the case or not. I guess we will eventually get to see a bit more, but it won’t be till I see him moving and speaking I’ll be convinced.
We also get another look at one of the costumes here and it does match the same design as we saw more officially on Johnny Storm. I like it as a first costume if these guys are coming from a futuristic 60’s. I would expect it to evolve to more modern times as we move forward though. It’s certainly reminiscent of some of the earliest designs for the team though. I’m looking forward to seeing more from The Fantastic Four: First Steps, are you?
