First Look At Amazon Prime Video’s Original The Widow

In the war of streaming services, Amazon Prime has had it’s fair share of very entertaining original series like The Man in the High Castle, Goliath and Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan to name a few. The series stars Kate Beckinsale as Georgia Wells, who for the past three years has been living as a recluse in the Welsh countryside away from civilization after her husband Will, played by Matthew Le Nevez, died in a plane crash in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Everything changes when she sees Will in the background of a television news report about the Congo. This fills her with determination that her husband is still alive and takes her to the county’s capital Kinshasa for the first time since the crash. There she will stop at nothing to find out the truth about her husband and her past.

Along with Beckinsale and Le Nevez, The Widow also stars Charles Dance, Alex Kingston, Olafur Darri Olafsson, Babs Olusanmokun, Louise Brealey and Bart Fouche.
