Today a first look at Christian Bale as Gorr in Love and Thunder. Although principal in Australia has indeed ended, there are some pick up shots being filmed right now in Malibu, the Daily Mail managed to acquire some images they claim is Bale dressed partially as he will look to play Gorr The God Butcher in Love and Thunder. We can’t share the images directly, however this social media post does show them, and we can link to a social media page for you.

One assumes that some of Gorr’s look will be CGI based. If You have never seen what this character looks like from the comics, here is an image below. This is clearly not going to be exactly the same, but I think with a bit of CGI you can see how it might come together.

It always amazes me that we get so many A-list stars showing up in the MCU. It has become a kind of anyone who is anyone has done a Marvel movie at this point and that’s great for the franchise. Not only is it likely decent money, but fame wise you are now entrenched within the minds of a whole new audience who may be discovering you for the first time. It’s a win-win scenario for actors. I’m also sure that given Bale’s star power he would have wanted to make sure this was a great part before signing on. However when you look at who is all in Thor: Love and Thunder the cast is going to be amazing.
We know Melissa McCarthy joins Matt Damon and Sam Neil as the Asgardian Thespians this time around. Plus we have almost the entire Guardians of the Galaxy cast appearing, plus Jane Foster back. That’s in addition to Thor (duh) and Valkyrie who seem like certain bets for any Thor focused movie.
I have faith in Waititi, who says this one is bonkers compared to Ragnarok. Funnily enough, that’s exactly what I want to see.
