Home Sweet Home: Rebirth, the live-action adaptation of the hit survival video game, is coming to North America! Vertical has secured the rights to the film, which is set to release in select theaters and digital platforms on April 11.
Directed by Alexander Kiesl and Steffen Hacker, Home Sweet Home: Rebirth boasts an international cast, including Michele Morrone (365 Days, Subservience), William Moseley (The Chronicles of Narnia saga, The Royals), Thai-Norwegian actress Yaya Urassaya Sperbund (Brother of the Year, Fast and Feel Love), and K-Pop and K-Drama star Alexander Lee (Moorim School: Saga of the Brave, My Korean Jagiya).

The film follows Jake (Moseley), a cop who finds himself trapped in a nightmarish alternate dimension called “The Hindrance” after a mall shooting turns deadly. With time running out, he must navigate this terrifying realm with the help of a mysterious Novice Monk (Lee) in order to save his wife, Prang (Sperbund), and stop a sinister occultist, Mek (Morrone), from unleashing the Gates of Hell.
The film is inspired by Home Sweet Home, a Thai survival thriller video game developed by YGGDrazil, which has sold over 1 million units worldwide and amassed over 370 million views on YouTube and Twitch. With a cult following among horror gamers, the game’s atmospheric horror and gripping narrative make it a perfect fit for the big screen.
“I am incredibly excited to partner with Vertical for the North American release of Home Sweet Home: Rebirth,” said producer Dean Altit. “Their commitment to delivering compelling narratives aligns perfectly with our vision for this film.”
“Home Sweet Home: Rebirth is a gripping, visual feast. We’re looking forward to introducing this international action-thriller to North American audiences,” added Rachel White, Vertical’s Manager of Acquisitions & Sales.
