Amazon Prime Video released the first stills in the upcoming Cinderella film by Kay Cannon.

The all-star musical cast headlines Camila Cabello, Idina Menzel, and Billy Porter. Other cast members also include Nicholas Galitzine, Minnie Driver, John Mulaney, James, Corden, Romesh Ranganathan, and Pierce Brosnan.

Cinderella is a classic fairytale that has been retold many times over and over again on screen in both animation and live-action versions.

The traditional story follows a young woman trapped with her wicked stepmother and her daughters as a servant. One day, an invite arrives to the royal ball leads Cinderella hopeful to meeting the prince charming of dreams. Her stepmother cages the young woman at home—leaving the stepdaughters to woo the prince. However, her fairy godmother arrives to grant one magical night. With the expiration her event at midnight, the prince is left with one glass slipper that leads his into quest seeking the love of his dreams.

Now this musical is a new take on the traditional Cinderella. So far, this Amazon Prime version revealed that “our heroine (Camila Cabello) is an ambitious young woman, whose dreams are bigger than the world will allow, but with the help of her Fab G (Billy Porter), she is able to persevere and make her dreams come true.”

“Cinderella is a classic we all know and love, but this time with a modern unique twist and starring the sensational Camila Cabello and an all-star cast,” said Jennifer Salke, head of Amazon Studios in a statement. “We couldn’t be more excited for our global customers to sing and dance along to director Kay Cannon’s reimagination of this classic story.”

The music incorporates pop songs from contemporary global artists with original songs from Camila Cabello and Idina Menzel.
