Foodtastic Trailer Showcases Amazing Food Art For Disney+ Competition Show

Foodtastic

Disney+ looks to expand its offerings in literally catering to the ever-growing foodies with Foodtastic.

The reality competition show features some of the most highly skilled artists from bakers to cooks to sculptors and even an architect. The goal of the show is with three-member teams competing to create Disney-themed artworks made entirely out of food.

Some of the themes for its inaugural season include Star Wars, Beauty and the Beast, Up, Lion King, and Black Panther. As with every food competition show, there is a twist in the middle of the episode for that certain curveball.

Foodtastic is hosted by Keke Palmer, along with Flour Shop founder Amirah Kassem and New York City’s City Cakes founder chef Benny Rivera as food art experts.

Food art is judged based on the artwork, scope and scale of the sculpture, usage of different foods, and overall aesthetics.

The ultimate prize in each episodic competition is a unique Disney Foodtastic pin and bragging rights. Any unused food is donated to charity.

Although there’s no ultimate prize for this competition, the food art sculptures are amazing to look at. Not to mention that these teams manage to accomplish these food sculptures in a very little amount of time.

For foodie audiences like myself, this is an excellent move for Disney+ looking to expand their offerings for their streaming service.

Disney+ debuts Foodtastic on its streaming service with all its episodes on December 15.
