It’s a story of love and tragedy through incarceration. In the time of romance, regret, separation, the couple endured years of heartbreak with the prison system. Unlike many stories out there, this story ended happily with reunion and freedom.

In the documentary Time, it tells a compelling story of Fox Rich and Rob Rich struggles as one raises her children alone while her husband is in prison for decades. Through new footage and old video diaries, this emotional journey drives the audiences with empathy as Fox Rich tries to reunite the family.

From the Sundance Film Festival award-winning director Garrett Bradley, she composes a real-life narrative on the separations of families with the prison system.

Here’s the official synopsis for Time:

Fox Rich is a fighter. The entrepreneur, abolitionist and mother of six boys has spent the last two decades campaigning for the release of her husband, Rob G. Rich, who is serving a 60-year sentence for a robbery they both committed in the early 90s in a moment of desperation. Combining the video diaries Fox has recorded for Rob over the years with intimate glimpses of her present-day life, director Garrett Bradley paints a mesmerizing portrait of the resilience and radical love necessary to prevail over the endless separations of the country’s prison-industrial complex.
