FREE ANIME?!? Crunchyroll Launches Linear Channel In US!

Crunchyroll Launches Linear Channel In US

“IT’S ALL ANIME, ALL THE TIME ON NEW 24/7 LINEAR ‘CRUNCHYROLL’ CHANNEL IN THE U.S.” reads the press release email from Crunchyroll. Not satisfied with their ability to spread Anime through the dominance of the streaming market, Crunchyroll has their sights set on platforms like Amazon Freevee and The Roku Channel to continue their proliferation of Magical Girls, overpowered pirates, and fan service in all the right wrong places.

Crunchyroll, the ultimate home for anime worldwide, announced a new 24/7 channel launching today to promote the growing medium of anime. Viewers can now watch the artform taking the world by storm in a whole new way.. Amazon Freevee (October 17), LG Channels (October 11), The Roku Channel (October 11), and VIZIO WatchFree+ (October 11) are the first to carry the channel.

So what Anime can you expect from the new Crunchyroll channel? Well, Horimiya, Ranking of Kings, Moriarty the Patriot, PSYCHO–PASS, Arifureta, Sugar Apple Fairytale, To Your Eternity and Code Geass. These will all be dubbed. Don’t fret, the programming will grow and evolve as the audience does. President of Crunchyroll, Rahul Purini, said this:

“The Crunchyroll channel is a gateway to the world of anime where we will guide viewers to discover new worlds, new stories and new characters. And thanks to our distribution partners at launch, millions of fans have easy access to the medium that is taking the world by storm!”

I can highly recommend Horimiya to any that like romance Anime where there’s an actual couple. It’s not a long, long crawl to holding hands at the fireworks festival.
